Plum-colored yarn for fall

There is something about this color that says "fall." Scarf in progress, pictured sitting on an open copy of Fall 2017 Vogue Knitting magazine.

The yarn is Brooklyn Tweed "Vale" - described as American Rambouillet Wool - 450 yards, laceweight, color 513 Cobbler. I would call it heavier laceweight, and it is nice to work with. Size 8 needles. Crescent scarf with a garter Old Shale pattern.
