Holidays in Old North wrap-up

Image
I had a great time at the Holidays in Old North sale. Such a feeling of community, along with food trucks, Crown Candy, LaMancha Coffee House, and lots of nice people shopping. Here's the knitting I had with me at the sale, photographed on my lap at home. Berroco yarn, very soft with a little sparkle. This was finished up as an infinity scarf with the ends put together in a three-needle bindoff. It blocked very nicely, is now drying. Will be a Christmas present. I'm now working on finishing a few projects that were started and set aside, may post about those later!

Holidays In Old North this Saturday, Dec. 12, 11 to 4 pm, and a wool/silk lace wrap

I'm looking forward to the Holidays in Old North sale this Saturday, December 12, 11 to 4 pm. It's the 5th annual event. Vendors will be located in several storefronts around the intersection of North 14th Street (where I used to have my law office) and St. Louis Avenue. (That intersection is also where Crown Candy Kitchen is located.) Here's a link to more info:   Holidays In Old North event St. Louis Magazine has a write-up also:   stlmag.com/events/holidays-in-old-north-festival--craft-market/ I'll find out the exact location for my "booth" on Saturday morning when I check in before set-up. Meanwhile, the knitting continues. Here's a lace wrap in process from a few days ago. I blocked the finished item yesterday (it blocked beautifully). The yarn is called Filisilk, and is lace-weight wool and silk with a nice gloss, purchased a few months ago at  Kirkwood Knittery.

Kid mohair & silk neck wrap

A small scarf or neck wrap. Would be worn with a shawl pin. Yarn is Haiku Yarns of Transformation lace-weight kid mohair and silk, a lovely yarn.
