Reminder: the WGSL is putting on the  All-Missouri Spin-In  this year, Saturday, April 28, 2018, 10 to 4. Several more items spread out for blocking. The blue beret and cowl are made from mill-spun yarn and are worked in crochet. The dark red shawl is knitted from handspun yarn purchased at the Weavers Guild of St. Louis annual sale (in October each year). The dark red yarn has more black spun into it than appears in the pic. I have a stash of finished items that need to be blocked. Got started on it last week. Here are pics of a few, arranged in layers.

Working on a ribbed-cable scarf - pic from yesterday morning: The yarn is a super-soft single-ply, Cascade Eco Duo, alpaca & merino. Takes 2 balls. Spin-In info - vendors are signing up, and we are planning workshops and space for hanging out. The WGSL is having another DeStash sale event. I'm donating some yarn that will be for sale on the WGSL table. Here's a shawl I finished in the last few days, not yet blocked, using in part some yarn from the last DeStash sale: I used two strands of lace weight yarn, one is black merino laceweight purchased at the DeStash sale, the other is a variegated blue lace weight. The shawl is prettier in person.

There is something about this color that says "fall." Scarf in progress, pictured sitting on an open copy of Fall 2017 Vogue Knitting magazine. The yarn is Brooklyn Tweed "Vale" - described as American Rambouillet Wool - 450 yards, laceweight, color 513 Cobbler. I would call it heavier laceweight, and it is nice to work with. Size 8 needles. Crescent scarf with a garter Old Shale pattern.
